Not all families are happy families.

Author: Niamh

Not all families are happy families. That’s something that, sadly, we have to accept. Yet for most of us our families are important to us. That’s why family re-unions are so enjoyable. They are a time to get together with others who share your genes, your background and your history. That is not to say that all family members are much the same. Even siblings are often totally different, with different hobbies and personalities. Yet behind those differences there is something that calls to each one of us. There is something that makes that re-union a fun affair. It’s when you share stories and remember incidents. It’s when you get up to date on all that is happening in your clan whether or not you live thousands of miles away from each other. To put it simply it’s a time to touch base.Whether you gather together for Thanksgiving, Christmas or grandma’s birthday doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you are together jut as families should be.
