“Welcome home” are probably two of the happiest words in the world.

“Welcome home” are probably two of the happiest words in the world. They conjure up images of open doors, airport terminals and lots of hugs and kisses. You may be welcoming home a traveller, a soldier home from combat or even a homecoming Queen. Whatever the reason you are saying these words they are wonderful words. Often they are cause for a celebration or a welcome home party and of course somebody will give a suitable speech. Such a speech will acknowledge where the person has been and what the person has done. More than that though it will emphasise how happy everyone is to see that person returned to where they belong. Home may be a condo in California or a villa in France but wherever it is it represents security and the comfort of being at one with your own. So the speech should be joyful and cheerful and say “You were missed but we are glad you are back. Welcome home, we really missed you.”
